VILLA RENATA, VILLA IN TUSCANY, A FEW MINUTES FROM VOLTERRA.
The ancient village of Mazzolla, encloses within its small walls a considerable number of historic structures worthy of note, for their beauty and particularity.
One among them is Villa Renata, built in the postwar period by the craftsmanship of artisans of the time, underwent a remodeling in 2000, which led to the inclusion of heating and various systems. The improvements also referred to the furnishings, enriching the already luxurious villa, with antique furniture, unique pieces from the workshops of the most important artisans in the area and beyond.
The Villa welcomes us by opening our eyes to an incredible view, from its exclusive patio it is possible to observe at a hundred and eighty degrees the breathtaking panoramas offered by our valleys, from the typical Tuscan countryside to the volterran calanchi to the imposing Volterra. And, on the clearest days you can even glimpse the sea with the Livorno coast, the island of Capraia and Corsica, while on the opposite side are the Apennines. In summer, the patio is livable and nicely enriched with outdoor furniture.
Entering the Villa we are greeted by the stately living room, tastefully furnished where you can make use of the leather sofa and dining room. It will be possible to use the beautiful fireplace in the winter time, enjoying an excellent glass of wine stored in the ancient wine cellar dug into the Mazzolla rock, which is located inside the living room. The kitchen is spacious, with custom-built furniture made of fine wood and marble, also equipped with a fireplace. There is also a secondary bathroom on the ground floor for visiting guests, without having to access the sleeping area.
From the staircase, decorated with a one-of-a-kind silver piece, we go up to the second floor to the sleeping area. The first room we encounter is the master bathroom equipped with all amenities including a very large shower and, the crowning glory, a beautiful Jacuzzi tub. Continuing we find the two double bedrooms also impeccably furnished, one equipped with a walk-in closet and the other with a hand-decorated closet, the third room is single, with the possibility of adding a second bed.
But it doesn’t end here, going up a few more steps the villa gives us a second glimpse with a different perspective, from the splendid little terrace obtained on the roof of the same, shifting our attention to the roofs of the village that seem to merge with such perfection with the intense green of the Berignone Nature Reserve.
